IT'S ONLY A FRUSTRATED APC MEMBER THAT WILL REFUSE TO CLAP FOR A MAN WHO TOOK FIRST IN AN EXAMINATION ---DESPSOMET .......Says Okowa's 2019 Ambition Will Have A Smooth Ride

The leadership of Delta State PDP Social Media Team DESPSOMET has said that it's only a frustrated one especially the Members of the All Progressives Congress APC in Delta State that will refuse to applaud a Man who Scored Excellently well in an Examination, noting that their Inability to do so is  base on their myopic way of reasoning coupled with frustration received at the Federal level due to neglects as well as their Inability to gain ground in the State.

The Coordinator of the group DESPSOMET Comr. Edwin Afejuku stated that Dr Ifeanyi Okowa's 2019 Ambition cannot suffer setback but will have a Smooth ride due to the monumental  achievements recorded in less than two years in Office " When a man take first in an Examination,he deserve to be applauded " Afejuku said.

Speaking further, Afejuku maintained that there is no Iota of truth that the Anioma Delegation pushed for the Creation of their own State during their visit to the former Governor of Delta State Chief James Onanefe Ibori, Moreso there is no time from the beginning of the visit to the End that the Honourable Commissioner for Information Mr Patrick Ukah intimidated or threatened the Camera Operators  " lies from members of the APC must not be taken seriously by Deltans " he added.

"Dr Ifeanyi Okowa's 2019 Ambition is a safe trip that cannot be altered by any Opposition Party  in the State, the Achievements recorded in terms of Infrastructural Development, Good healthcare for all Deltans,Empowerment Programmes for Youths etc will definitely Pave the way for him, Indeed among Governor's in the Country, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has Scored Distinction in delivering Good Governance to the People of Delta State " he added.

Manchester United condole with families of fans who died on Thursday in Calabar

Manchester United football club of England have sent their condolences to the families of football fans who died while watching Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League quarter final match with Anderlecht in Calabar, Nigeria.
Recall that no fewer than 30 persons lost their lives after an electric pole fell on the roof of the viewing centre where they were watching the match.
Manchester United wrote on their official twitter handle on Friday, “Our thoughts go out to the United fans, their friends and families affected by the tragedy in Calabar, Nigeria, yesterday.
In Nigeria fans always gather at viewing centers to watch football matches for a fee, as most either cannot afford the high cable television subscription fees or prefer to watch with other fans.

Man U fans’ tragedy: Buhari condoles with families of Calabar victims

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock and sadness over the tragic incident that took the lives of several Nigerians at a football viewing centre in Calabar, Cross River State, Thursday night.
No fewer than 30 people lost their lives in a viewing center in Calabar, the Cross River State capital on Thursday night while watching the Europa League clash between Manchester United and Anderlect after a high tension cable fell on them.
In a condolence message signed by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari commiserates with the government and people of Cross River State, and football fans nationwide over the unfortunate incident
Buhari also commended the State Government for the prompt action in setting up a commission of inquiry into the incident, and its offer of assistance to the victims and their families.
The President offers his deepest condolences to the family and friends of the mostly young victims, whose sudden demise is a big blow not only to their families, but also to the football-loving nation.
He prays that God Almighty will grant the souls of the departed eternal rest and comfort all who mourn their irreparable loss.

Drama as Corper who sought Photograph with Fayose gets Automatic employment

Osamwonyi Bright Osas is a graduate of Political Science and Public Administration who is observing the mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) programme at the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti.

Luck  came his way as he encountered Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose when the came to Ikere Ekiti for on the spot assessment  of the third phase ongoing Ado/Ikere road dualization on Thursday 20th April, 2017.

Governor Fayose had finished the supervision and was on his way to his bus when Osas accosted him, "good afternoon Mr. Governor, I am a native of Edo, I relocated from Adamawa to Ekiti State because of my love for you,  I follow everything you do religiously online, I love you so much and I pray God take you higher and higher. I graduated from UNIBEN with a first class in Political Science and Public Administration, one thing I pray thee Sir, please allow me snap with you Sir", Osas who was in NYSC outfit begged.

Without blinking an eyelid, the governor obliged and photographers did the needful. Immediately after this, the unusual happened, "go to the provost tomorrow, tell her I asked her to give you automatic employment", Mr. Fayose said.

Osas who was overwhelmed by the governor's gesture went on his kneels in appreciation, thanking God and governor Fayose for the favour. Speaking with newsmen after the encounter, Osas said "I am overwhelmed seeing the governor of Ekiti State today,  he's an amiable leader and he is so down to service, when I was in school as an undergraduate I do read many of his speeches on what governance should be, on how to move Nigeria forward.

"I am in love with the fact that he's fearless, he discharges his duties without fear or favour, that is one of the qualities I cherish in him. I learnt from him that for you to rule successfully, you must appreciate the common man, he is a very good friend of the masses,  seeing him come so close to the people inspires me, I was just coming from my CDS now and I saw him here, I was so happy and I said I must see him before he leaves and that was why I accosted him.

"I just thanked God for what happened now and I pray God bless him abundantly. He has just called the provost that I should be retained, that I should be given automatic employment, permanent employment, he called the provost and the provost said first thing on Monday I should come with my CV. I just want to appreciate governor Fayose."

Ibori reveals why he made Okowa Delta Governor from prison

Former governor of Delta, James Ibori, has said despite his incarceration, his support for governor from Delta North, which saw the emergence of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2015, was based on justice, equity and fairness.
Ibori stated this when he received a delegation of Ndi Anioma led by Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor, the Obi of Owa, and Chairman, Delta Council of Traditional Rulers, in his home in Oghara on Saturday.
He commended the Delta North (Anioma) people for the visit and for their prayers which made freedom possible.
He said the massive support he received from the Aniomas in his quest for governorship in 1998 prompted his choice of an Anioma indigene as his deputy.
“My believe in justice, equity and fairness informed my firm support for an Anioma governor which has come to pass with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on the saddle”, I bori added.
He promised to continue to identify with Anioma people and urged them to remain united and support Okowa to succeed.
Earlier, the Owa monarch had commended Ibori for his disposition to advance the political course of Anioma people.
He said that the five years absence of the former governor was greatly felt by Deltans, particularly the political class and members of the Peoples’ Democracy Party (PDP).
The monarch added that Ibori’s return would change the political landscape of the state ahead of 2019 elections.
Others on the delegation were Chief Benjamin Elue, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, Dr. Chris Agbobu, Chief Theodora Giwa-Amu, traditional rulers, legislators and members of the State Executive Council from Delta North.
